I'm just coming off a major high at my hometown Shreveport's Humor and Harmony weekend with 50 Cent. I'm so happy for what G-Unit is doing for the city I grew up in. I moved away to Houston to continue my career in music and film because there were not many opportunities. I realize that I took what I did know and my resources away and brought them to Houston Texas and I have been embraced here. I know that Shreveport and Monroe Louisiana is where my heart still resides. It feels good to see my city with motion now. I'm so proud of the people there. I'm so happy for 50 Cent. Ironic that I got a big fan tag on his Facebook page under my first name Trete Lo.

I made a video that highlights Shreveport, and I just wanted to show how proud I am of them. The song close to you is me thinking about my lady and wanting to be Closer and get to know her more as well as opening up to you her more. I've had my share of relationships, so I won't tell you which one of those women I'm speaking on out of respect and privacy. I just write about my life and put it in songs. In this song I wanted to be open. I wanted to be "Close to You"
